Hi, I am zoe gomez

Let's get to know each other

A portrait photographer living in Florida and 100% made in Cuba.

The island with its halo of mystery and quiet decadence is a paradise for photographers. I grew up surrounded by faces that told stories without words, streets lined with textures, and colors that seemed to hum under the sun. Cuba shaped my eyes, my instincts, and my love for storytelling.

Photography came into my hands in 2015, when dear friends from Colorado gifted me a Nikon camera. At the time, I was a tour guide zigzagging across the island, often leading groups of photographers who unknowingly became my mentors. They taught me about composition, patience, storytelling, and how to see with the soul, not just the eyes.

What drives me now as an artist is simple. The silent connection between artist and subject. There is a fleeting current of trust when walls drop and the real story shines through. A good portrait isn’t taken; it’s invited. That’s why I take time to connect, to share a laugh, to let people breathe into the moment.

For me, a session is never just about walking away with beautiful pictures. It’s about creating an experience that lingers, about helping someone see themselves raw, powerful, and radiant. Honestly, it often feels more like therapy than a photo shoot.

For me, true portraits don’t need grandeur or perfection. They need presence, a spark of real emotion, and the dance of light and shadow, because in the end, that is what we are all made of.
